Women’s Wilderness Retreat

Our Women’s Wilderness Retreats are about more than stepping into the outdoors, they’re about stepping back into ourselves. Each retreat is a balance of practical bushcraft skills and rewilding practices, created to help us live more in tune with nature and rediscover a simpler, deeper way of being.

Some women describe them as the adventure they’d been searching for, others as the retreat they didn’t know they needed. We believe they’re both. During our retreats, you’ll learn essential wilderness skills: from primitive and modern fire-lighting, foraging and wild crafting to shelter building, camping and wild swimming. Every experience is a chance to grow in confidence, resourcefulness, and connection, with both the wild and yourself.

Workshop Details

Our women’s bushcraft and rewilding retreats always include a mix of practical skills, nature connection and time to simply be in the wild. Activities may vary by location and season, but typically include:

Bushcraft Basics: Get comfortable living outdoors. Learn essential outdoor skills such as tarp shelter setups, useful knots and the principles of staying safe in the wild.

Wood Carving: Use a knife and saw safely to carve your own wooden items from tools to spoons.

Fire Starting: Light your own fire using both primitive and modern methods, gaining the knowledge to create warmth and cook in the wild.

Foraging: Discover the edible, medicinal and practical uses of the plants, trees, and fungi that grow around us.

Wild Crafts: Unwind with nature-inspired crafts such as cordage making and whittling, taking home what you create.

Rewilding Activities: Reconnect with nature through grounding practices that help you slow down, notice and remember your place in the natural world.

Campfire Feast: Each retreat includes a shared campfire feast, a chance to relax, reflect and celebrate time spent outdoors together.

The Camp

Our workshops are held across various locations in North Wales and Shropshire, each offering unique facilities. What we do guarantee, is a hand picked ‘back to basic’ woodland campsite and a good ol’ campfire to ensure an authentic, raw, and wild experience.

If you’d like to find out more about the location selected, please check the description of the workshop you would like to join.

Camp Food

Wholesome grub is on the menu! Dinner on day 1 and breakfast and lunch on day 2 will be provided. There will also be an organic tea and coffee station for you to help yourselves to. Please bring your own snacks and water to keep fuelled for the activities. We cater for vegans, veggies and meat eaters, just let us know if you have any dietary requirements on the form we send you after booking. The meals provided may vary, but here is a sample menu:

Breakfast: Porridge with fruit and honey

Dinner: Campfire feast – steak, burgers or stew and sides

Lunch: You make our own bushcraft bread and we provide sides like egg and mushrooms.

We provide feel good food, therefore, we source organic, sustainable and/or local produce.
